This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of Wingman. Violation of this policy is grounds for immediate suspension or termination. We enforce this policy strictly to protect our service, our customers, and email recipients.
Email sending standards
Permitted email use
- Transactional emails: account confirmations, password resets, billing notifications, order confirmations, and similar messages triggered by recipient action.
- Reply threads: continuing conversations initiated by recipients who emailed you first.
- 1:1 conversational messages: personalized individual emails to business contacts you have a prior relationship with, sent at human-like volumes (typically 5-30 per day per sender).
Prohibited email use
You may not use Wingman to send:
- Bulk unsolicited commercial email (spam) to recipients who have not consented or with whom you have no prior business relationship
- Email to purchased, scraped, or rented lists obtained without recipient consent
- Email to recipients on your suppression list, anyone who previously unsubscribed, or anyone who replied STOP/UNSUBSCRIBE
- Phishing or impersonationemails designed to deceive recipients about the sender’s identity or intent
- Content that promotes fraud, scams, illegal goods or services, malware, or harmful activities
- Pornographic, harassing, hateful, or threatening content
- Email at volumes designed to evade spam filters (e.g. inbox rotation for the purpose of mass spamming, fake warmup networks, content obfuscation to bypass detection)
Sending limits
We enforce per-account sending limits to protect domain reputation:
- Free tier: up to 10 outbound emails per day per organization
- Paid tiers: limits scale with plan level (see your plan dashboard)
- Bounce rate: must remain below 2% — accounts exceeding this threshold are auto-suspended for review
- Complaint rate: must remain below 0.1% (1 per 1000) — accounts exceeding this are auto-suspended
Compliance requirements
Recipient consent
You represent that every recipient you email through Wingman either explicitly opted in to receive your emails OR is a legitimate business contact with whom you have a clear pre-existing relationship or legitimate interest in contacting (e.g. a customer service inquiry, a published business contact for a relevant inquiry).
Suppression list
You may not bypass or attempt to bypass the platform’s suppression list. If a recipient unsubscribes, complains, or hard bounces, you may not re-add them or send to them again from any Wingman-managed email address.
Sender identification
Every email must clearly identify the actual sender (you or your business). You may not use deceptive headers, fake names, or misrepresent your identity or purpose.
Opt-out handling
Every recipient must be able to opt out of further messages. Wingman automatically suppresses recipients who reply with STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, or similar opt-out keywords, and provides an unsubscribe landing page for messages where a one-click mechanism is appropriate. Recipients who opt out are added to your suppression list within seconds.
Account behavior
You may not:
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent limits or evade suspensions
- Access or attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service
- Use the service to compete with Wingman or build a competing product
- Resell or sublicense Wingman-provided contact data
Enforcement
We monitor sender reputation, bounce rates, complaint rates, and content patterns. Accounts that violate this AUP may be:
- Subject to immediate sending suspension while we investigate
- Required to provide additional verification
- Permanently terminated without refund
We make enforcement decisions at our sole discretion. We may report serious violations (fraud, illegal activity) to law enforcement or affected third parties.
Reporting violations
If you received an email from Wingman that you believe violates this policy — or you wish to report any abuse — please contact abuse@trywingman.app. We investigate every report.
Changes
We may update this AUP at any time. Continued use of Wingman after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
